We’re live from Awaken! – August Bank Holiday weekend

Powerhouse Radio is heading to Awaken for a very special weekend takeover, broadcasting live from the heart of the event with music, interviews, competitions, teaching and live coverage from the Big Top.

From first thing in the morning until late into the evening, our team will be bringing you the sounds and stories of Awaken. We’ll be meeting Big Top speakers, event sponsors, ministries and some of the amazing people who make the weekend happen.

And wherever you’re listening, we want you to be part of it too.

Live Throughout the Day

Our Awaken studio will be broadcasting throughout the weekend, with each show featuring guests and interviews from around the event.

7:00am – 10:00am | Breakfast with Rob Wakeling

Rob gets Awaken started with three hours of great Christian music and conversation.

Alongside the Bible Question of the Day and Gospel Throwback, Rob will have interviews and regular updates from the Kids and Youth teams, finding out what’s happening for children and young people across Awaken.

10:00am – 11:30am | Big Top Live

At 10am we hand over to the Big Top for live coverage of the Morning Celebration.

Join the worship, hear the morning speakers and experience the atmosphere of the Big Top wherever you’re listening.

11:30am – 3:00pm | Richard Ellarby’s Afternoon Recharge

After the morning celebration, Richard takes over with music, interviews, guests and plenty of fun from around the Awaken site.

There’s Challenge Suzi, another trip into the musical archives with The Re-e-wind, and at 1:00pm we replay the morning’s Bible Study.

You’ll also hear from speakers, ministries, sponsors and people with stories to tell from across the weekend.

3:00pm – 4:00pm | Seminar Replay

There’s a lot happening at Awaken and you can’t be everywhere at once.

Every afternoon at 3pm, we’ll replay one of the seminars from the day, giving you another opportunity to hear some of the fantastic teaching and conversations taking place across the event.

4:00pm – 6:30pm | Drivetime with Suzi Jay

Suzi takes us towards the evening with great music, guests, interviews and all the latest from Awaken.

There’s also Suzi’s Word of the Day, plenty of conversation and a look ahead to the evening Big Top Celebration.

6:30pm – 8:30pm | Big Top Live

In the evening, we head back to the Big Top and broadcast the Evening Celebration live on Powerhouse Radio.

Wherever you are, you can join the worship, hear the speakers and share in what’s happening at Awaken.

8:30pm – 10:00pm | Afterhours with Gav Abell

As another busy day comes to an end, Gav takes over for Afterhours.

We’ll hear from guests, reflect on some of the stories from the day and create some space to think about what God has been doing throughout Awaken.

Afterhours also features the Worship Power Hour, with an hour of worship and reflection to round off the day.

Can You Beat the 90 Second Challenge?

The clock is ticking…

Throughout Awaken, our guests will be invited to take on the Powerhouse Radio 90 Second Challenge.

The rules are simple. Answer as many of our getting-to-know-you questions as possible in just 90 seconds, with no hesitation, deviation or repetition.

Big Top speakers, ministry leaders, sponsors and special guests will all be battling for a place on our leaderboard.

Who will be crowned the Powerhouse Radio 90 Second Challenge Champion?

You’ll have to keep listening to find out.

Meet the People Behind Awaken

One of the things we love about broadcasting from Awaken is getting the opportunity to hear people’s stories.

Across our live programmes, we’ll be interviewing Big Top speakers, event sponsors, church leaders, Christian organisations and ministries, as well as some of the people working behind the scenes.

We’ll talk faith, life, ministry and mission, find out more about the organisations represented at Awaken and, of course, ask a few questions they probably weren’t expecting!
